Matt is the Shadow Assistant Minister for Transport and Roads

Shadow Assistant Minister for Transport and Roads.

In his Inaugural Speech to the NSW Parliament, Matt said “My dad, Malcolm, affectionately known as Percy, is a retired civil engineer with the New South Wales Government.

He planned our motorways and highways, including the M2 and M7. Upon receiving his NSW Service Medallion after 40 years, Dad's work colleagues described him as "highly regarded for his energy and a man with undoubted integrity and capacity to manage considerable workloads".

As I too have a passion for roads and transport, I hope to carry on my father's ethos and, like him, be remembered as someone who helped to build infrastructure.”

Public Transport

Public transport is a critical piece of infrastructure that connects us all between home, work and leisure.

Public transport in the Davidson electorate includes:

  • Trains on the North Shore line with railway stations at Roseville, Lindfield, Killara and Gordon. Soon, each station will be easily accessible with lift access upon the completion of Killara Railway Station upgrade.

  • Buses that connect residents to railway stations, as well connections directly to the city, notably in Belrose, Davidson, Frenchs Forest, St Ives, East Killara, East Lindfield and Roseville Chase.

  • Rideshare, taxis and active transport

Roads

Roads are a key public policy area in the Davidson electorate. We have:

  • State roads: Pacific Highway, Ryde Road, Mona Vale Road, the stretch of Boundary Street to Warringah Road, including the Roseville Bridge, and Forest Way.

  • Regional roads: Bobbin Head Road, Burns Road to Archbold Road, including Horace Street, Birdwood Road and the Eastern Arterial Road, Koola Avenue linking Springdale Road, and Lady Game Drive.

  • Local roads: All other roads in the Davidson electorate are considered local roads.

I appreciate constituents and residents contacting me about how to improve our transport and roads. Please email my office at davidson@parliament.nsw.gov.au.
